Holden
So lucky me! My cousin Susan Swan Holden called me one day a few months ago and we got to chatting. She told me she had a dulcimer for me! Her husband Mike's father built dulcimers a few years back and gave Susan's daughter's each a dulcimer. I guess the daughter's never got into playing them so Susan gave me one as it was just collecting dust and she knew in giving it to me it would go to a good home and more importantly, it would get played. I'm just thrilled to have this beautiful instrument! It's made of walnut and has actual walnuts for the sound holes. There are simple purple painted flowers on the fret board and the sound takes me back to a happy long ago and almost forgotten time. I'm in love and have written a few dulcimer instrumentals that I need to get recorded. The way the weather is looking these days, in the land where the sun rarely shines, these recordings will be coming soon,
