Second Day In Nashville
Bill and I were lucky to have another beautiful day here in Nashville! We toured the Grand Ole Opry which is something I have wanted to do ever since I picked up a guitar and listened to the Johnny Cash records that my father would play on Sunday mornings. Being such a non city girl...I have finally found a town in which I fit right in. Everyone is just so very friendly! Headed to Bar Louie in the Gulch to meet up with my new friend Greg Macbain, a pianist I met in Hamilton while planning Skyway a few years ago. There is so much to do in this city that its quite overwhelming!

First Day In Nashville
So here I is in Nashville! Or Nashvegas shall I say. This place is CRAZY! Musicians EVERYWHERE! They've got Johnny Cash piped in on all the streets. He's got more star power now dead than alive! It's a beautiful day and I'm on the 15th floor of the Hotel Indigo. Small room but clean and close to all the action. I'm loving all the antique signs. So happy to be here...Tomorrow The Grand Ole Opry.
Hickory North Carolina
It's an eleven hour drive to Hickory from home in South Hamilton. Not a bad day on the road if it didn't rain every time we go. Route 81 with all it's tractor trailers screaming bloody hell in a cloud of spraying water is enough to make anyone curl into a ball in the back seat. Nerve wrecking! But we made it in good time to the perfectly edged and mulched gardens that surround the quaint stone houses that make up the neighbor hood of Wynnshire Ridge where my mother now resides. I'm sitting here in a Hampton Hotel in Crossing Tennessee an hour and a half from Nashville and I have to say that I'm more than a little excited! I'm gonna be overwhelmed I'm sure and can't wait to get shots of the Grand Old Opry, the Hotel Indigo where we are booked to stay until Friday and what ever else comes my way. I can't wait to hear all the music and can't wait to play my set on Friday. I don't have any expectations but just want to be able to say I played in Nashville. Just what Nashville needs I'm sure is another musician.
Oh and here is a shot of the rug Mom has been hooking all winter!

Spring In New Hampshire
With the Stillwater winter season behind me,and OH! What a great winter it was!! I now have time to visit family and also time to tweak my Nashville set scheduled for May 2nd at the Hotel Indigo in downtown Nashville. I'm pretty excited to say the least! I've been playing guitar since I was 12 years old and at the age of 53, I would say it's time to pay ole N'ville a visit. Just what Nashville needs is another musician right! So here are some shots of New Hampshire. I've come to love this state more and more with all its dirt roads, rock fences and mountains with each visit. Also here is a shot of my new Gretsch resonator guitar I've had my eyes on for a while. The guitar the snowmobilers bought. I'm very grateful!
