Thank GOD!
I'm back in the ranks of the employed once again. Thank God! Tending bar at the Blue Canoe on Tuscarora Lake. AND I'll be playing there as well. So things are looking up. I swear every time I take a week or 10 days off to go to Florida. Some tragedy occurs. But I can't go into these tragedies as I vow to stay positive in these trying times.
The CD is done and all thirteen tracks are uploaded to my website. Tonight I'm working on two more art projects. Uploading to Tunecore to be able to sell on line and I'm done with Year Of First's. THANK GOD! This CD has been three years in the making and I'm sick of talking about it. I am pleased with the end result though. Thank GOD! I guess the name of this post is Thank God!
Next project I have in mind starts with the Sherburne Pictorial. I'm thinking there are at least a dozen songs from the story's inside this historical gem! Osceola Indian Princess aka Sally Tucker. Captain Thomas Swan (a decedent ) of mine who fell in love with the most beautiful girl in all the world right here in Sherburne (go figure) and quit his seafaring days to marry and become a land locked farmer in Central New York. The octagon house has a story. Elizabeth Gladwin and her book, Grandmother's Doll which is stored at the Sherburne library, needs a read from me.
Much to do and discover. This winter I plan on holing up in the Sherburne Library and learn all that can in this god forsaken forgotten town even if it is falling down around me. Let it snow.
